Редакція журналу «Охорона праці» Jannet – Among the Top Ten Leaders
17.04.2026The international magazine “CIO Views” has included Jannet Arshimova, Executive Director of NEW HSE and head of the European School of Risk Management project launched in partnership with magazine “Occupational Safety,” in its list of the “10 Most Influential Women Leaders in Business to Follow in 2026.” For the professional occupational safety community, this is truly a landmark event. It represents not only a recognition of Jannet’s personal achievements but also confirmation that modern safety culture is increasingly shaping global management approaches.
Jannet’s professional journey began in medicine. She worked in some of the world’s most challenging regions, where risks to life and health were part of everyday reality. It was there that her belief was formed: safety is, above all, an attitude toward people.
Today, Jannet Arshimova leads the international educational and consulting organization NEW HSE, teaches NEBOSH programs, is a member of IOSH, as well as a researcher, mentor, and trainer. At the same time, she describes her career very simply: “It’s an attempt to make the world a little safer for people.”
At the heart of her leadership approach is the CARE concept, which unites four key values:
- Courage – the bravery to act in conditions of uncertainty.
- Adaptability – the ability to adjust to change.
- Relationships – building trust-based connections.
- Empathy – empathy as the foundation of effective leadership.
Janet believes that a leader’s true strength lies not in rigidity, but in the ability to care for people, the team, and one’s own balance.
The organization she founded, NEW HSE, holds NEBOSH Gold Learning Partner status, with learner satisfaction exceeding 98%. Its partners and clients include leading international companies such as Vestas, Mondi, Veolia, and Reckitt. Collaboration with such corporations helps implement modern safety culture approaches across various sectors—from renewable energy and industry to environmental services and consumer goods manufacturing.
Ukraine holds a special place in Jannet’s work. During the full-scale war, she supported the creation of educational initiatives for Ukrainian occupational safety professionals. One such project is the Jannet Arshimova European School of Risk Management, founded in partnership with the magazine “Occupational Safety.” The school provides a number of free study places for war veterans and people with disabilities to help them acquire a new profession and expand their competencies.
Zhanet often says: “A true safety culture isn’t created by orders. It is born from daily interactions between people.” Her story is an example of how the combination of knowledge, empathy, and belief in one’s mission can transform organizations, global management approaches, and people’s lives.
We sincerely congratulate Jannet Arshimova on this international recognition and wish her inspiration, inner energy, and new ideas— whose realization helps transform the world of work, making it safer, more responsible, and more humane.
